Mantra means mind protection. It is the supreme method to enhance the qualities of our body and mind. For centuries, mantra recitation has been used to attain a peaceful and happy mind by pacifying the negative thoughts that give rise to our suffering.
In this Friday Night lecture and meditation, the meaning of mantra and instructions on how to combine mantra recitation with breathing meditation will be explained. This is a simple and powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and is ultimately the cause of the supreme inner peace of enlightenment.
This Friday night lecture will be followed by a Saturday day retreat on the powerful Migtsema mantra.

About the Teacher
Kelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Phoenix.
He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Tabkay presents Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others.
