By developing a deep state of concentration on the mind of love, we can open our hearts to a state of immense peace, freedom, and joy. In this retreat in particular, we will practice moving through the levels of concentration known as tranquil abiding on wishing love. Through this, our life will change for the better and we will directly discover the solution to our daily problems.


Enjoy spiritual friendships, deep meditation, and the beautiful Temple for World Peace. You will leave feeling refreshed and inspired. Everyone is welcome.

Friday, September 8th:

Introduction: 7:30 - 9pm

Saturday, September 9th:
Session 1: 8:30 - 9:45am
Session 2: 11am - 12:30pm
Session 3: 4 - 5:30pm
Session 4: 7:30 - 9pm

Sunday, September 10th:
Session 1: 8:30 - 9:45am
Sunday GP Class (optional): 11am - 12:15pm
Session 3: 4 - 5:30pm
Offering to the Spiritual Guide Prayers: 7 - 8:45pm

Monday, September 11th:
Session 1: 8:30 - 9:45am
Session 2: 11am - 12:30pm

Costs:

Teachings: $150 (Fri -$20, Sat or Sun - $60, Mon - $30)

Meals: $5 each

Accommodations (per night):

Single - $105, Double - $130,  Dorm - $30, Camping - $20

 

Note:  Dorms are up to 8 per room in bunk beds. Sheets and pillows are provided. Guests must supply their own towels and a sleeping bag or blanket or purchase a ‘linen pack’ for $5/booking (a down comforter and towel.)

Gen Kelsang Tabkay

Gen Kelsang Tabkay is a Kadampa Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Phoenix. He has been a student of  Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for many years. Gen Tabkay presents Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others.

Gen Kelsang Lingpur

Gen Lingpur is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Arizona in Tucson. She has been a student and disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years. Gen Lingpur has been ordained as a Buddhist nun for many years and has taught in the New Kadampa Tradition in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Mexico. Having benefited greatly herself from the study of Buddhadharma, she is happy to give back by sharing her love of Buddha’s teachings. With a down-to-earth style, Gen Lingpur helps us to look at our situation in a new light and to transform negative minds into positive ones.
