Meditation is a way of calming the mind, making us more peaceful, balanced and focused in our daily lives. Ultimately it enables us to awaken our positive potential and find lasting joy and contentment.


Treat yourself to a happier and healthier state of mind with this weekly guided meditation class. Starting a meditation practice becomes easy in a group environment with a qualified teacher. Each class will include two guided meditations lasting 15-20 minutes and a short talk about the practice of meditation. No need to re-register, just drop in as your schedule allows.

About the Teacher

Kelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Phoenix. He has been a student of contemporary Buddhist master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over ten years and previously served at the Education Program Coordinator and then Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina. Tabkay presents Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others.
