Silent Away Retreat
on the nature of the mind

A special opportunity to get away from the busyness of everyday life and become deeply acquainted with special states of mind. This retreat will be held at Aravaipa Canyon Ranch (www.aravaiparanch.com) nestled at the foot of Brandenburg Mountain.
No prior experience of meditation is needed to attend.

During this retreat we will meditate on the nature of the mind, trying to use this opportunity to make progress in tranquil abiding, increasing our ability to concentrate on subtle objects.
For centuries, these methods have brought lasting peace, inspiration and serenity to countless people.
Accommodation Shared rooms - 4 to 6 twin beds per room. (Indoor or outdoor camping is also available. You would need to bring your own sleeping pad and bedding.)
Meals To simplify the silent retreat and cut down on costs to you, everyone is asked to bring their own food for the weekend. There is ample refrigerator space and cooking equipment. (Vegetarian please. No meat or fish)

Teachers

Gen Kelsang Lingpur is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Arizona in Tucson. She has been a student and disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 28 years. Gen Lingpur has been ordained as a Buddhist nun for many years and has taught in the New Kadampa Tradition in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Mexico.
Having benefited greatly herself from the study of Buddhadharma, she is happy to give back by sharing her love of Buddha’s teachings. With a down-to-earth style, Gen Lingpur helps us to look at our situation in a new light and to transform negative minds into positive ones.

Gen Kelsang Chenma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Phoenix. She was ordained by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 2004 and has been studying and practicing Kadam Dharma for over 25 years. She is dedicated to helping others discover the benefits of meditation and the teachings of Buddha. Her teaching style is down to earth and practical and shows us how to apply these teachings in our daily lives to improve our happiness, wisdom and well-being
